When I was a kid, I was told to pray. It could have been in a temple, mosque, church, gurudwara or synagogue etc. I was told that there is this person/thing/being called god and he/she/it will answer my prayers, grant my wishes and make me happy etc. But I was just a kid and hence did not have the cognitive skills or logical reasoning to know if its true or not. As I grew up, I started to realize the facts, know whats true from myth. And there not such a person/thing/being as "god".
But again, being a sports fan and being born in a country where Cricket is considered a religion and even better, being born in an era in which I got to see this Little Man play the game. The man known as SACHIN RAMESH TENDULKAR. The man who was born only 38 years ago on this day.
The man who is visible, made of flesh and blood. The man who does the improbable. This man who gives us hope, answers our prayers and makes us happy or at least tries his level best(and mind you his best is way way up there) to do so is THE GOD, not just for me but for millions of people.
I know this is SOOO after the fact but I just discovered your writing and it brought to mind a few thoughts of my own... It is interesting to see what is inside of folks minds when they are not being protective or evasive. I find your "tongue in cheek" comparison of the Cricket player to a god refreshingly honest of you, if even in jest. Also on your blog name...I Will Be what I Wll to Be

In the book of Exodus when God commisioned Moses to go represent Him to the Egyptian ruler who held the Hebrews as slaves and also to his brothers in flesh (the Hebrews) he asked what on earth he might say as proof that, in fact, he was representing the "TRUE GOD" and Jehovah told him to say this “I SHALL PROVE TO BE WHAT I SHALL PROVE TO BE.” Heb., ה ר ה (ʼEh·yeh′ ʼAsher′ ʼEh·yeh′), God’s own self-designation; Leeser, “I WILL BE THAT I WILL BE”; Rotherham, “I Will Become whatsoever I please.” Exodus 3:14. Everything that happened after was proof that he had been sent by the Highest authority.
So your blog name attracted me to have a 'look see' at one who might be acting out a God-like trait that seems to be missing in many of us who have been beaten down or who have not yet discovered the power of belief. By belief I mean not just 'a thought that the mind possesses' but 'a thought that possesses the mind'... lol
Your exposure to God by means of being told things by "the experts" in your life is so true of why many do not have faith in the Creator. You see that as an adult it IS ridiculous to just buy everthing you are told without doing research yourself. The incongrueties of those who claim to represent God actually drive honest lovable folks away from churchiness but also away from the desire to examine the issue at all.
At that realization I said to myself what if no one else was here? wouldn't I as an intelligent and honest thinker realise that an AWSOME power worked out this home of ours (earth / universe etc) and was due recognition and thanks? If I did see His power would it be a stretch that he would be in contact with His earthly Family? Authoring and protecting information to explain our heritage, what has happened to the creation, our options and how it will resolve could not be considered out of the realm of a Creator's power... He shows in the Bible how the lies got started, who tells the lies, who buys the lies and the end of lies... Very interesting book and yet you need an interpretor because the garbage put on us as youths will color or set paradigms even when we feel we are above it... Here is where you must do an act of faith PRAY that the Creator send an interpretor to guide you. Hope things are well with you... =-)
