Questions

This is an attempt at poetry, my first. So please bare with me.

I have a Question in my mind
the answer to which, i could not find
god only knows, I am trying so hard
the result is, me going bald

I tried to negate the question by putting a not (why? - why not?)
assuming with this change, the answer could be sought
the result was Another Question in my mind
the answer to which, i could not find

Comments please

Eternal

The first time i heard this word was in the title of the movie "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". Then i looked up the meaning, it means infinite duration or everlasting and ever since it kinda grew up on me ever since. Its one of my favorite words. The reason i am writing about it now is because the word came up in the novel i am reading, The Eclipse (Book 3 of the Twilight Saga). In one of the chapters, the authors describes about the relationship between vampires couple as being eternal.

Unlike any other great love stories such as Romeo and Juliet or Catherine and Heathcliff or Laila and Majnu or Devdas and Parvati, the term eternal love has a more literal meaning, because vampires never die, their love for each other is truly eternal. If was really touching. It made me remember the time when i found out that the one whom i cared about, the whom i thought was my best friend and may be more had a group named "Eternal" on her buddy list and i was not on it.

Anyway, i felt like writing about it and so i did. Like most of my blogs, i wrote this one in a rush and it would seem pointless to most of you.

Central Park

This is not supposed to be my next blog, as i had couple of other blogs in my mind. But i could not resist writing this one before them.

People say New York (and by New York they mean Manhattan) is a World in itself. But Yesterday, while I was taking a stroll in the park and i realized that, there is a smaller world on the Island of Manhattan and it is "The Central Park".

The Park has everything rich people, poor people, performers, tourists, people selling sodas and hot dogs (trying to make living), dads teaching their sons how to fly a kite, moms pushing their cute little babies on a stroller, people jogging and cycling, homeless guys sleeping on a bench with his stuff on a push cart by his side, and the list can go on.

You can see all the seasons on here and the change is very very prominent. Summers are very very green with chicks in skim clothes ( ;) ), Fall is Colorful with leaves all over the place (both on and off the trees), Winter is Snow White and the Spring brings new life to it. A great place to be, no matter what the season is.

Not just this, there are alot of places for entertainment like the Wolman Rink where u can Ice Skate during the winters, the Grand laws with all its concerts and stage shows in the summer, the movie screenings, street plays, and upcoming artists playing guitars, telling jokes, etc etc etc, and its Learning Centers where you can learn about gardening, rock climbing, bouquet making, etc.

Yesterday it also reminded me of the Petula Clark song "When you are alone and life is making you lonely, you can always go, DOWNTOWN", i would change it to "When you are alone and life is making you lonely, you can always go,Central Park". Because, if you consider Downtown Manhattan or Times Square even, people are always in a hurry, running to their destinations, talking on their cell phones, etc etc. But when in a park, there are no worries, everyone is here just to relax, have fun, get away from their busy lives.

All in all, it s a great place to me all the time, any time. So if anyone of you come to NYC ever, you must do two things for sure, (a) give me a call and (b) GO TO CENTRAL PARK.

Well like all my blogs am not sure if i made my point on here as i wrote this in a hurry ( :P..... yeah yeah i know) but i just wanted to express my feelings.

Hope u liked it.

Ciao.

"Love of My Life"

She/He is "The Love of My Life". You are "The Love of My Life". Almost everyone must have heard, seen them in the Movies and for some of you very "fortunate" people, must have heard it in real life too. Hmmm....... "Love of My Life" , what does it mean? where can i find one?

For someone like me i always thought this one girl is "The Love of My Life". Naah... who am i kidding. You all know thats not true. Ok here it is. I have been in love with many a girls and each time i thought she was the love of my life. But that was just childhood. Yesterday, while on i was on the subway and since i had nothing to read or solve(puzzle not a Murder mystery), this thought came into my mind (it so happens that most of my weird thoughts and crazy ideas appear to come while i am on the subway or the potty), what does "Love of My Life" actually mean. Does it mean that she/he is the person whom you love the most? or she/he is the person whom loves you the most? or something else. How does someone realize she/he is "Love of Their Life". What does it get to become "Love of Someone's Life". Does it Change when you find a better person who gets to be the love of their life (enough of putting it in quotes huh?).

Why would someone love someone the most anyway? Because she/he is hot/handsome, rich, caring, talented, successful, loving or is it enough just to be a human. If so, what if you find someone else who is hotter/handsome, richer, more caring, more talented, more successful or more loving. Does she/he become the new Love of your life?

Am so confused......... :(.... Any help guys and gals??

xoxo

Best Friends Forever (BFF)

The other day i was watching this sitcom called "How I Met Your Mother" (for somene who dont know what this is about, its nothing like what you think it could be.Its a comedy in which a guy (Ted Mosby) tells his kids (who are teenagers) in the year 2030, about how he met their mother(his wife). Its AWESOME, you should check this out) in which Ted Mosby(played by Josh Radnor) while telling his kids about one of his stories in the past, reminds them how they have drawn Robin Schrebatsky (played by Cobie Smulders)(whom once Ted dated but basically is a very good friend of his, also the kids call her aunt Robin. Again people its not like in India where you call your neighbours aunt and uncle. In US aunt and uncle means you are related) in their drawings when they were little. Thats particular made me think about something. I've made many a friends in my whole life (you probably already know that, if you know me very well or go through my orkut profile). Some of them are just aquaintances and some of the are very good friends. Some of them are even what people call as "BFF". I wonder if that phrase really make any sense. Am i gonna be really friends with those people for my entire life. Am i gonna be so good a friend with them that my kids call them uncle/aunt, and draw their pictures in their art class. Because i hardly heard any elder people (who are atleast one generation ahead of us) mention about their childhood friends in their stories or their experiences or someone whom your father or mother or neighbours mention saying "ooh i miss that guy/girl". It doesnt mean that i dont want to be BFF to anyone. I am so glad that i made friendship with all you people. I wish and hope that this friendship stays forever. I really really wish that ATLEAST one of you would be so close to me my entire life that my kids call uncle/aunt and draw your picture in their art class.

Being THE BEST IN THE WORLD

Everyone wants to be somebody, achieve something, Win something etc. So do I. Most of you may already know my DREAM of being an ASTRONAUT and some of you very close to me know about me wanting to win a NOBEL PRIZE and some of you very very close to me and who do pay attention at what i am saying and remember to that know about my goal of WINNING an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL FOR INDIA. But yesterday i wanted to something else or someone else.

Yesterday (09/09/07) the FINAL day at the US Open tennis tournament 2007, Roger Federer add yet another GRAND SLAM to his name making his tally to 12. The announcer (dont know the name of the guy) described him as "the best human to lift a tennis racquet ever" and without doubt he most definetly is THE BEST. That speech was really great and for the first time i realized how extraordinary it would be. It made me want to THE BEST in THE WORLD at something or the other, something good, may be at something which is helpful to MAN/WOMANKIND. I maynot become an astronaut or maynot become a nobel laureate or an olympic gold medalist but one day i will definetly become THE BEST IN THE WORLD at something or the other. I make this promise to all those people who care about me, all the people whom i have known, who have known me and also to myself.
I hope and wish that happens.
ciao

P.S. btw how is everyone doing?? it have been long time since a wrote a blog.Sorry for my fans (you know you are) who were waiting for my blog.

Flicka

The following is Narration is from the Film Flicka...... I so loved it and i thought i would share it with you. This film is actually taken from a Novel called "My Friend Flicka" by "Mary O'Hara".Here is how it goes - (narrated by a 15 year old girl)

"I live on the top of the world. In the never summer mountains of Wyoming.8000 ft closer to the sky.In my mountains, when the Spring comes to save me from a Perpetual Winter, the World comes to Life again. And i remember what it is i am here for.I am the only daughter in a long line of Ranchers. When we let our horses out for the first time in the Spring,i love to watch them rediscover the world,i can see in them, an expression of my own restless spirit.Charged with an appetite for adventure, they take to the land without hesitation. They are PURE POWER.When i see them running wild and free, i often think of the first horses and how they were the true pioneers of America.................................."
The movie begins with the above narration....... and ends with the following.

".................................I believe there is a Force in thie world which lives beneath the surface.Something primative and wild that awakens when you need an extra push just to survive, like wild flowers that bloom after fire turns the forest black. Most people are affriad of it, and keep it inside themselves. But there will always be a few people who have the courage to love what is untained inside us.One of those men is my father. There is once a time when americans came west to discover their destiny, today they seem to move around everywhich where restless and unsettled. But i think they are still looking for the same thing.A place which makes them feel optimistic about the furture,a place that helps them be what they want to be,so they can feel that this life makes sense, the place where they can feel, what i feel when i'm riding Flicka.Because when we are riding, all i feel is...... FREE."

By the way, Flicka means "Young Innocent Girl" in Swedish.
